Technology industry expert Rob Walker joins Mtivity Board

6 February 2008

Firm continues to build management team of top industry talent.

Mtivity, one of the UK's fastest growing technology companies1 and an innovator in marketing and print management software, has appointed Rob Walker to its Board of Directors. Walker, whose career includes top posts at Xerox, Compaq, Unisys and HP, is the latest high-profile addition to the Mtivity management team following the appointment of John O'Connell as Chair in November last year.

Walker has an extensive track record in the global technology sector, with particular expertise in graphic arts, and a strong background in large company turnarounds. He previously served as CEO of Compaq EMEA, and in his position as SVP of Compaq's global operations was responsible for all operational and financial aspects of the company's worldwide business, consisting of a workforce of some 70,000 people.

As a former managing director of Xerox UK, one of Walker's priorities will be to strengthen the links that already exist between Mtivity and the document management leader, with Mtivity software a key component in Xerox's print management and creative services portfolio.

Patrick Kremer, Mtivity CEO, said, "Xerox is a strategic partner for Mtivity and central to our plans for growth. We already work together to help major clients across Europe and North America, including Ericsson and Hitachi GST, transform their business with our workflow management software. We look forward to furthering this relationship with Rob's help."

Kremer continued, "Rob's global credentials and his experience in developing new businesses will also prove invaluable as Mtivity prepares for further expansion. We achieved a remarkable 80% growth last year, and the outlook for 2008 is equally promising."

Rob Walker said, "The workflow and print-on-demand markets are growing at pace and I firmly believe that Mtivity - with its best-of-breed technology - is well-positioned to take advantage of this exciting opportunity. I look forward to working with Patrick, John and the team to help the company achieve its long term ambition of becoming a worldwide leader in marketing and print management software."

Walker is married with two daughters, who are both currently studying at university. He is a keen sportsman, and enjoys both snow- and water skiing as well as tennis.
